Address Book

The Address Book allows you to manage your contacts and your database.  You can add custom fields to store campaign data or any other data you need to store.

address book list
The Address Book List displays all contacts currently in your Platform Direct database.  This can be viewed by group or individually.  You can move contacts into groups from this page, and edit or delete contacts.  The drop down tab sorts the list by last name.

 In Add New Contacts you can enter basic information, and custom information, and add them in a group.
search contacts
 A Basic Search and Advanced Search function is available for you to search for contacts in your Address Book.  You can also specify which group to search in.
manage groups
 Segment Contacts allows you to create groups for your individual contacts, as well as to add new contacts to an existing group, or edit an existing group.  This section can be used to create groups for your campaigns – e.g. a group for all recipients who open your email campaign.
import
 Import Contacts allows you to import multiple contacts from your own Excel file.
import list
 Import Results show you the history and details of all files you have imported to your Platform Direct database.
export
 Export Contacts and back up your existing Platform Direct Address Book contacts or groups to an editable Excel file.  These exported files can be viewed in an organised list.

custom database fields
 The Custom Fields feature is used to add extra fields to your Address Book contact details or Web Forms. 

To add your custom fields:

  • Create a bundle of fields or select an already existing bundle.  This is for easy allocation of data to contacts or forms.

You can add fields of the following type:

  • Header Field
  • Text Area
  • Text 
  • Numeric Text 
  • Date and Time 
  • Calendar
  • Time
  • Image Upload
  • Check Box
  • Radio Button
  • Single Select
  • Multi Select
  • Country Select
   

 

To create a field, complete the following details

  • Field Name
  • Field Type 
  • Default Field
  • Mandatory 
  • Show Field
  • Selection Based Segmentation
  • Additional Options
 

 

You can edit, delete or duplicate these fields.  You can also create editing permissions for each field to allow or disallow administrators to edit a specific field.

send lists

 Send Lists allow you to manage your campaign sending lists.  You can add multiple groups and individuals to your Send List for each campaign.  You can also block groups or individuals from receiving the campaign.
